O.pen — Store Within A Store

O.pen is one of the best-selling vape pen brands in the cannabis industry, available in thousands of retail locations nationwide. When InStore Design Display designed their in-store experience, we differentiated them from their competitors by creating a unique image and identity that would be easy to implement in various dispensaries.

Opportunity:

O.pen had many priorities for this shop-within-a-shop design, including:

Brand: Continue to build trust and loyalty among existing customers and create a connection with shoppers who are new to O.pen.

Security: The ability to lock displays that showcase products was a requirement for their cannabis retail displays. They needed to be secure to protect both customers and employees from theft and criminal activity. Lockable displays ensure that products are properly tracked and monitored for inventory control and that only authorized personnel can access them. They also help protect cannabis products from tampering, which can lead to product damage or contamination. Finally, display security helps protect the brand in the event of a product recall.

Modularity: Dispensary layouts differ greatly by retailer and location. O.pen’s displays needed to be designed with modularity in mind to bring an immersive in-store experience to shoppers, no matter the store layout.

Solution:

During the design phase, we knew that infusing their existing brand identity into their cannabis product displays was key to O.pen building trust and loyalty among customers and creating an emotional connection with shoppers who were new to O.pen. Brand continuity from digital to packaging to display influences how shoppers perceive the product and ultimately make their buying decisions.

Infusing O.pen’s brand identity into their cannabis product displays, signage, and wall system were key factors in IDD’s efforts to build brand loyalty and fit in their omnichannel approach. O.pen can now leverage digital marketing, packaging, as well as their in-store displays to influence how shoppers perceive the product and ultimately make their buying decisions.

Dispensary layouts differ greatly by retailer and location. O.pen’s displays needed to be designed with modularity in mind to bring an immersive in-store experience to shoppers. To make that happen, IDD performed several site visits to O.pen’s retail partner locations to better understand the infrastructure for their new displays.

Team IDD also focused on creating seamless, secure displays for their products.

Once designed, InStore Design Display manufactured, shipped, and installed the activations using our in-house acrylic manufacturing, logistics, and installation teams.
