InStore Design Display is accustomed to creating enticing retail displays and providing store planning services to sizable companies such as Hallmark Cards Inc. and Bayer Animal Health.
It wasn’t familiar with personal protective equipment (PPE) — but that changed when local government officials required non-essential businesses to temporarily close.
The North Kansas City-based company wasn’t an essential business, but it needed to figure out how to become one to stay afloat and keep its roughly 35-member team employed.
“It was a very stressful period," CEO Randy Edge said. "If we can’t stay open somehow, then the business is at risk.”
