Trend Alert: Clean and Contemporary Style

A new trend is taking the scene: clean and contemporary. This clean and contemporary style developed in the late 20th century and features softened lines, as opposed to the hard lines of the modern style. The color scheme is often tone on tone, and very rarely deviates from brown, taupe, off-white and white, except for the small, occasional pop of color. Adornment is non-existent in the contemporary style. Fabrics are silk, wool, linen and cotton and other materials consist of light colored woods, frosted or clear glass, stainless steel, nickel and chrome. If you want to create a contemporary environment for your products, InStore Design Display has just what you need.

Bauhaus Collection

The Bauhaus Collection features clean, sleek lines that are softened with round tubing arms. This helps to more easily create the look of a specialty shop. The folding easel, for example, is complete with a satin chrome finish that is bold and attractive, but doesn’t detract from the sign it holds.

Also a part of the collection are the four-way rack, the S-shaped single bar merchandiser, the C-shaped single bar merchandiser and the two-way rack, all which have curved lines. This gives you a way to display your delicate clothing without appearing cold or rigid.

Subway Specialty Slatwall

The pure white subway slatwall gives instant contemporary style to your display. It is sleek and clean, providing immediate class and sophistication. Hang shirts or dresses against it to really let them stand out. Use it as a backdrop for a contemporary room display – such as a kitchen, living room or bedroom. It can even work very well in a window display.

Nesting Tables

Nesting tables are perfect for laying out your newest shirts, denim or home decor items. The smooth, clean top and light metal legs provide a contemporary surface on which your products can shine. The two-piece nesting table set is great for a charming boutique set up or right at the front entrance to your store and in high traffic areas.

Glass Merchandiser Tower

The glass merchandiser tower lets your products – designer handbags, shoes, ceramic collectibles for instance – really stand out. The tower frame is finished in brushed chrome and folds up easily for storage. The tower creates a frame for any items placed on it. The shelves are glass, and let your items really stand out. They almost appear to be floating.

For items that are highly valuable or easily broken, the glass tower display case functions very similar to the glass merchandiser tower, except that it allows you to lock away and protect these items until they are ready to be purchased. With glass on all sides, nothing obstructs the view of your products from the eyes of customers.

Wood Display Cubes

The wood display cubes – in white or maple to keep in the contemporary style – can serve nearly endless purposes, making them an asset to any store with a contemporary vibe. Use them as risers on your table, to elevate an example of your product, letting customers see it from a distance. Cluster a few together in a window display. You can even create a pyramid and place products both in the cube and on top of it. They can be used for just about any product – shoes, purses, jewelry, books and children’s toys.
