InStore Design Display is excited to welcome a new member to our growing team — Ryan Heath. He joins us as a Project Manager. Ryan comes to IDD after spending more than nine years at Kansas City's Hallmark, a long-time IDD client. In his time there, he evolved through many different roles, including visual merchandising, project coordination and management, and industrial design.

Ryan's retail experience design expertise and his ability to manage large complex projects will allow IDD to serve our clients more effectively and efficiently. He also offers insight from the client's perspective, having worked in Hallmark roles similar to those our teams work with regularly.

Ryan has an innate ability to problem solve and offer thorough communication, both internally and externally, to improve how IDD and our clients collaborate.

Are you a KC Native? I grew up in Lee's Summit, so yes!

Favorite KC BBQ? I hope I don't get too much flack for this, but I'm going to go with Oklahoma Joe's (now called Joe's KC); the Carolina Sandwich is my favorite.

Favorite spot in KC to grab a cocktail? Anywhere that serves a good Old Fashioned. I'll say Repeal 18th.

What are some of your hobbies? Golfing, disc golf, and in the past five years or so I’ve taken to some small home remodeling projects.

Favorite sports team? Without a doubt, my favorite sports team is the CHIEFS!!!  I’m a die hard fan.  I also really enjoy watching English Premier League Soccer, my favorite team is Manchester United.

Tell us a little about your family: My wife and I have a 4-year-old son. We are also expecting a little girl in March.

What was most attractive to you about InStore Design Display? Even though it's a 100 years old company, it's progressive. I really liked the notion that IDD is always trying to evolve and grow.

You transitioned from the client to the vendor. What are some of the things you've learned so far? While at Hallmark, I had one point of contact at IDD. It was always an easy process to work inside of. I would provide a sketch and then see it come to fruition.

As a member of the IDD team, I now see the inner workings and the behind the scenes of projects. I have witnessed all of the coordination that has to occur. Between sales, pricing, design, and execution, a lot of work goes into projects that I never realized because IDD always made it look easy.

InStore Design Display wouldn't exist without the uniquely talented and hardworking team members we have been fortunate enough to attract. We are excited to have Ryan on the team and look forward to all the great things he will contribute to at IDD.
